Ro-Lab American Rubber Co., Inc. draws upon the experience of its predecessor companies to meet today’s production needs. Ro-Lab Rubber Co. started as a testing and consulting business to the tire industry and quickly moved into custom mixing and molding of rubber products utilizing large capacity presses. The company soon saw the need for more specialized engineered materials; hence the company expanded into hot cast thermoset polyurethanes. By joining technologies, Ro-Lab became experts in close tolerance compression molded urethanes.
The American Rubber Co. Inc. side of the business predates most companies. Soon after starting the business in San Francisco in 1906, the company moved to Emeryville, Ca and was a pioneer in manufacturing fire hose that was sold all over the United States. Custom designed hose for agriculture, industry and the military became a specialty. Additionally the company developed and sold conveyor belting for the mining and aggregate business for both domestic and international markets.
The Ro-Lab American Rubber Co., Inc. facility, located in Tracy, California, now occupies 65,000 square feet of manufacturing space and is capable of compounding and manufacturing a complete range of rubber and polyurethane products from standard compounds to custom designed formulas. Our in house approach to design and manufacturing allows us to have total production control from our customers’ specifications to final finishing, ensuring products of consistently high quality.
The result is a company eminently qualified to serve the diverse molding, casting, extrusion and mandrel made needs of our many customers.
